Welcome to the NYS Clean Energy Educator workshop! We are so glad to spend the day with you all exploring clean energy goals.
You will leave this workshop ready to teach your students about clean energy and the future career opportunities it provides through hands-on learning.

Explore cutting-edge eco-friendly innovations, including solar panels, wind turbines, and fuel cells that power our standalone microgrid. We'll also discover firsthand how these technologies contribute to a sustainable future and promote efficient energy use.

What is Environmental Justice and why is it important to the climate change action?
What are the pros and cons of having clean energy generation facilities built in this area?
Record your group’s thoughts in this slide deck.
2:15 PM: Solar Energy
Explore solar energy using the Vernier Solar Energy Exploration kit.
Then apply the use of solar energy to a real world problem in a Solar Fountain Design Challenge.
And if you're really feeling adventurous, try experimenting with series vs. parallel circuits in your design!
